One sentence reviews of my 5 star reads of 2018 in all genres!

Dance of Thieves by Mary E. Pearson

Mary writes strong, responsible, and intelligent female leads who put their duties before all else (The Remnant Chronicles is one of my favorite series of all time) and this heart ache worthy read did not disappoint!

And I Darken by Kiersten White

This first book in the Conqueror's Sage had me sobbing and cheering and in all sorts of agony at times and has the most beautiful coming of age tales for both characters in this brother/sister dynamic.

Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson

For this review I'll simply put my favorite quote from this reimaginging which goes like this; "And I never expected that you could have a broken heart and love with it too, so much that it doesn't seem broken at all."

The Handmaid's Tale by Margret Atwood

A haunting and gut wrenching tale set in a dystopian American setting that hits way too close to home.

Save the Cat Writes a Novel by Jessica Brody

An integral writing craft novel that helped me discover theme, hero type, and the inner/out conflicts arcs of my story.

The Emotional Craft of Fiction by Donald Maass

TECOF is by far the most transcendent craft book I've ever read and gives step by step guides of how to write each sentence with emotion that will hook, line, and sink every reader who picks up you story!
